They just posted the tracking link for the event as we’re just 2 days away.
People can search based on my name, Alan Sherman or my bib number 311. So while you’re out and about, you can easily see where I’m at on the journey that will last from Friday at 9am til Monday sometime.
I’m pretty much packed all the gear for drop bags, crew bags, etc, etc, etc. It’s easily the most involved packing at double of a typical Ironman pack and that’s 3 sports.
One last little 2 miler shake out run on Thursday before heading up to the race site and going through packet pick-up, mandatory medical check, course overview and athlete meeting.
Wake up Friday around 4am to get ready to leave from the finish line at 5:30am for a 2.5 hour bus ride to the start location. The downside of a point to point event like this. Its why the start time is 9am which is very ODD for an ultra of any distance.
It’s been a long journey since signing up last September with lots of cold early morning runs and lots of just early wakeup calls on Saturday and Sunday. It’s almost HERE and it really hasn’t sunk it just yet. I’m sure tomorrow it will hit me in the face that I’m about to cover 206.5 miles in 3+ days.
Thanks for reading and there’s still time to donate if you have had a chance. Every little bit helps and is super appreciated.
